1. Information We Collect

• Account data: name, email address, and password (stored hashed) when you register.
• Learning data: quiz sessions, scores, streaks, XP, badges, certificates, bookmarks, and progress.
• Device and usage data: app version, device type, and general activity needed to operate the Service.
• Approximate location: derived from your IP address for analytics and fraud prevention (GeoIP). We do not collect precise GPS location.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and maintain the Service, track your learning progress, issue badges and certificates, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Legal Bases

Where applicable (e.g., under GDPR), we process personal data on the bases of contract performance (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security and improvement), consent (where required), and legal obligation.

4. Sharing and Third Parties

We share data only with service providers that help us operate the Service, including:

• Apple: for App Store purchases and subscription management.
• Hosting and email providers: to run the Service and send account emails (verification, password reset).
• GeoIP provider: to resolve approximate location from IP.
• Meta (Facebook/Instagram): the site uses the Meta Pixel to measure the results of our ads — pages visited, signup, and subscription start/completion, with browser identifiers. It is not used for signed-in users under 18 or on partner schools' sites. You can limit this in your Meta account's ad settings or by blocking third-party cookies. We may also send Meta the email address of account holders, converted into an irreversible code (hash), to show WBF Academy ads to existing learners or to stop showing them. We don't do this for users under 18 or for anyone who opted out of marketing communications.

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and users.

5. AI Tutor

Before your first use, the app and the website ask you to agree to this. When you use the AI tutor, your questions — the text and, if you speak, the audio — are sent to OpenAI, L.L.C., which processes them on our behalf only to generate the written and spoken answer. To build your weekly study plan we also send a summary of your progress in the course, without your name or e-mail. Under OpenAI's API policy, this data is not used to train models; OpenAI may retain it for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring. We keep the conversation history and your credit balance so you can pick up where you left off and so we can follow your progress in the course. Voice recordings are deleted after 30 days, and deleting your account deletes your conversations and recordings. You can also ask us to delete your history at any time at support@wbfacademy.com. Do not include sensitive personal data in your questions.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
